Dislocated Workers

If you are laid off, or about to experience a layoff, we can help. There are three types of services that are potentially available to you at no cost:

Core Services:
All dislocated workers have access to core services at JOBsolutions (formerly Wyandot County Job & Training Center). You may have received information about these services through your Rapid Response team if you were part of a larger layoff. These services include information and assistance in obtaining such things as:

  • Unemployment Insurance

  • Health care coverage

  • Job Search assistance

  • Job referrals

  • Listings of job openings

  • Resume assistance
Intensive Services:
If the core services do not produce results, you may be eligible to receive intensive services for one-on-one assistance, group career workshops, and other assistance such as:

  • Assessments of your skills and abilities

  • Counseling services

  • Help in planning how to get back to work

  • On-on-One job counseling
Training Services:
If you qualify, you will have access to a broad range of training services. JOBsolutions Case Managers will assist you in obtaining available training services including:

  • Occupational Skills Training

  • Vocational Training

  • College Training

  • Skills Upgrades

  • GED Preparation

  • English as a Second Language
